In their first game of the season on Sept. 1, the Midway Panther Band supported their team through their first victory of the season. The band played enthusiastically in the stands as their team scored touchdowns and celebrated when the game ended with a Midway victory of 35 to 28. As well as providing support, the band unveiled their 2017 competitive show, "I Am, We Are." The program focuses on how, though there are many individuals in the band program, they can still come together to reach a common goal.
Defending the Panther Den
In their first home game of the season, the Midway Panther Band was excited to show their spirit and pride to Cedar Ridge. The Midway football team showed their dominance and the band supported them as they decisively earned their second victory of the season at 34 to 19. The band showed the first movement of their program to their home audience for the first time and they were treated to rousing applause. The band cannot wait to show the rest of their program to their audience.
Touchdowns at Temple
The Panther Band cheered on their team through a rough opening quarter. As the football team pulled ahead in points, their cheers and spirits intensified. In addition to a wonderful comeback, the band was excited to show the second movement of its competitive show. The second movement is a ballad that showcases a wide range of dynamic qualities and skillsets from the performers. It was met with warm applause and the band is excited to show their home audience the second movement next week.
